To get to F.D. Roosevelt State Park you drive up and down hills along an 11 mile winding road. We found out about a back way into the park which was easier to drive. This park is Georgia’s largest state park at 9,049 acres. We had 2 full days to explore and hiked about 10 miles of the 40 miles of trails. We again found waterfalls, wildflowers and trees blooming and a few insects. I was in macro heaven.
We will come back and explore more of the area as we did not have time to get to many of the trails and attraction nearby – The Little White House, Callaway Gardens, antique stores in a nearby town.
