A River Runs Through…Our Campsite

I think we had the best campsite of the trip at Mistletoe State Park and we booked it the day before we arrived. It was level and right on Clarks Hill Lake. A beautiful view and one we enjoyed while it was raining for the 2 nights we stayed here.

We drove mostly back roads on the trip. They were narrow and in pretty good shape. This area of Georgia was hit by the hurricanes Helene and Milton and you could see damage to the trees and homes as we drove.

While Wayne worked on pictures I read The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles, who also wrote A Gentleman in Moscow. Both books are very good reads.
