We drove through Alabama on our way back to Florida and we crossed over into the Central Tome Zone where we will spend the next 3 nights. Eufaulla AL looks like a cool place to stay and explore. Our first stop is Three Rivers State Park and we were greeted by white-tailed deer right inside the park. The campground is small just 30 sites and our campsite was paved and flat. We definately had a good night sleep and did not feel like we are falling out of our beds. The park has some trails that we checked out in the afternoon but more fun would be had if you had a boat to go on the rivers. We are also out of the mountains now and back to 80 degree weather. The ranger was telling us about a special plant that only grows in the park and 1 other area nearby. The plant is the Spigelia gentianoides. He explained where to find it. The flower had not blooming yet, he thinks due to the snow they had earlier in the year.

Wildlife Sightings: White-tailed deer, Armadillo, Bald Eagles, Tufted Titmouse, Blue Jay, Cedar Waxwings, Brown Thrasher, Mockingbird, Carolina Wren, American Robin, Common Grackle

Florida Caverns State Park is about a 30 minute drive west so we made resevations for a cavern tour for the next morning. The cavern tour was great and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling through the area. After the cavern tour we explored a few of the trails in the park looking for more wildflowers and critters.
