Family Time

Savannah is where my parents retired over 30 years ago. We were able to do some sightseeing, spend some time with them as well as do our laundry as that is what kids do when they visit their parents. We had the best tea and lunch of our trip at the Gryphon, a restaurant run by SCAD. Visited Wormsloe, walked in Forsyth Park and toured the Catherdral of St John the Baptist with the best tour guide you can have…my mom.

Statesboro, GA is where our niece goes to college at Georgia Southern. We walked around the beautiful campus, visited the Center for Wildlife Education and went kayaking amoungst the cypress tress at George L Smith State Park.

Athens, GA is where the University of Georgia is located and where our nephew is about to graduate from college. We spent a few hours with him on our travel day to Atlanta. UGA campus is hugh as well as beautiful. We wished we had more time to explore the area.

Atlanta, GA is where we met my sister and her husband. Wayne and I took Marta from Stone Mountain into Atlanta. We walked around the Dogwood Festival, had lunch and then walked to their apartment to meet their Aussies. They happen to live in the same area Wayne lived when he worked in Atlanta over 35 years ago.

It was great to catchup with family and reconnect. The time spent was not long enough.
