Our second RV trip of the year was to check out some more of the Georgia State Parks. We enjoyed staying at Skidaway Island State Park last November and have been to Jekyll Island 2 times in 2023 and 2024. This trip allowed us to catch up with family that are spread all over Georgia.
We had most of the trip planned out but had a week in the middle where we were not sure where we would be going. Thankfully, the Georgia State Parks are not booked up like the Florida parks are and it was easy to book a park within a day of arrival. There were many to choose from and it was not due to the quality of the parks. All the Georgia State Parks we have been to have been wonderful, clean, spacious, well maintaned, and the staff friendly.
Factoids: 2114 miles driven on mostly back roads, 950GB of pictures (not much video), 160 miles on the ebikes, kaykas were not taken but we did rent them one day. All in all we had 37 nights camping at 5 Georgia State Parks, 5 Florida State Parks, 1 relatives house and 2 commercial parks. So far this year, Wayne and I have spent more nights in the van than we have at home.
